365MM Tape #3. Audience recording from back balcony left. Zoom H1 High Quality WAV->Audacity track divisions/labeling/dead air cut->MP3. First generation, uncirculated.
Fair recording. Seemed like every instrument/mic was maxed out, leading to extremely booming, muddied sound. Not very pleasant. Strange crowd turned up: fairly evenly divided between elderly fans who remained seated, obnoxiously drunk houswives, and enthusiastic raver-types. Clinton appeared very frail and his voice is shot. He could barely sing. The new lineup of the band compensated in that department, but unfortunately also provided some meodern rap-styled inclusions and an almost parody ballad.
I haven’t bought the new album that the tour was in support of, so maybe it was a good representation of where the band is at now, I wouldn’t know. A few classics made the night sort of worthwhile, but overall, not a tape I’ll revist.
