Unsurprisingly, The Grateful Dead were busted for drugs down south in early 1970. More unsurprisingly, Bill Graham enlisted their Bay Area contemporaries to rally up for a benefit show to help them out! Featured today is QMS’ set. It’s a great show! Of particular note is a sparkling 17 minute “Silver and Gold” (having dropped the first word of the title, “Acapulco”- as in a reference to marijuana) and a rare performance of “Edward The Mad Shirt Grinder!” Great stuff! Enjoy!
