Aparently this material originates from their work on a television program called Do Not Adjust Your Set. Not having seen the show, I really can’t comment on that context. As an album, it’s pretty good.

With the exception of the “Shirt” skit, this is great music. Imagine if The Kinks had a strong Monty Python bent. The songs don’t take themselves too seriously and are all the better for it! “The Urban Spaceman” is the ‘hit’ from the bunch for good reason. “The Monster Mash” is very close to the Bobby Picket original, which always puts a smile on my face!

Not a particularly important album, but absolutely a fun record!
