New-ish line-up, pretty much same sound. Moody psychedlia splashing against cowboy boots. Good stuff, a little heavier and better than their previous effort, in my opinion. The almost requisite Dylan cover- “This Wheel’s On Fire”, that kicks things off, is as spectacular as the other more notable attempts. Through their personal conflicts, the band holds together pretty well. Some suplemental CD tracks include worthwile alternatenates. Not an essential record, but a rewarding listen for those delving deeper into The Byrds’ discography. Strongly recommended.
