Yeah, I’d heard “Smoke on the Water” a million times on the radio first, but I eventually came across this epic, and I was sold.

It took a few more years to pick up the rest of their albums, and I have remained a fan of their semi-metal sound. Their releases vary greatly in quality, but are always listenable and a few jems have popped up from the middling. Their deeper cuts are often as good or better than the radio hits and worth checking out.
