Best known for their hit “Turning Japanese” (featured on this album and excellent), The Vapors were a short lived New Wave Band. Great, catchy, and underappreciated. All of the songs are pretty good, and recommended. Many of the tracks actually deal with social anxieties and issues of the day in a solid musical manner.
There is an expanded edition with the associated single/extended versions as well as the b-sides, but unless you are a completist, they are inessential. If you can find the standard album cheaper, don’t hesitate!
