Damn, it’s been worth the wait! I can’t remember being this excited for a new album in quite some time. With no pre-release singles and no boots to come out of their latest concerts, there wasn’t anything to set early judgement or expectations other than just listen to the album once you get it. And you should get it.
One listen of the vinyl in, and I think it’s excellent. As with each album and era, Artic Monkeys have evolved once again. It is a clear and fairly subtle progression from 2013’s AM and Turner/Kane’s Last Shadow Puppets Everything You’ve Come to Expect from 2016. Still fresh, cool and as clever as anything and ever before. The largest integration is prominent piano, as Turner has explained was a present and the basis for writing these new songs. The lyrics and crooning are as agile as I had anticipated. The drumming is still a blast, as are the angular guitars, and everything is nicely mixed/produced.
Full review may come up later, but as of now, I highly recommend buying!

Basically, if you use my link to buy the album, I get a small cut!
